Divine Light Farms is where we have been working hard and growing good things since 1972. It started as a 58 acre organic farm in Berks County, Pennsylvania (beautiful Pennsylvania Dutch country). We spent five years there working the ground andlearning about our Earth Mother and her medicine. The farm was a bhakti yoga center also working the fertile grounds of our hearts and minds. When the farm was sold we never really left it. The ritual and ceremonial work continued over the years. The imprint of Mother Earth influenced everything that came to us later. Now we re-create our spirit home in this fertile pasture. This is where we might sit by the woodstove and have a cup of tea. If your interested in our work here is more than you ever wanted to know!
HISTORY OF DIVINE LIGHT FARMS Divine Light Farms was purchased in 1972 by our father, HERBERT CLOFINE. He purchased it for his eldest son (Mr N was 23) who wanted to be an organic farmer. His middle son (Aumdoc was 19) rapidly jumped on board. Since his sons refused to do the things he wanted them to do (like graduate from a good college and become a professional) he had the wisdom to try and support them in something they wanted to do. Thanks Dad, what a blessing you gave us! The 58 acres was a working farm owned by two ancient Italian brothers named Jimmy and Tony Sinistri. The had farmed it for about 45 years and had cut out an acre and built the tiniest little house I have ever seen. Both brothers were little men, I (Aumdoc) am 5'3" tall and was taller then both of them! While they were not interested in organic farming they did things the old fashion way. This means that there was NEVER anything on these fields except cow manure and lime, period!! This was truly organic ground, sacred ground to us. It was interesting for us to meet and fit in with the community. I don't think they had ever met too many folks like us. ... to be continued
